About Pastor Mike Cox

Pastor Michael Cox and his wife, Gayle, were both born on the same day in Illinois on March 9, 1952 in communities 100 miles apart. For the next several years God orchestrated a plan that was to bring them together as a team, preparing them for the ministry. They both attended Gateway College of Evangelism in Florissant, Missouri in 1970/71.

They were married on August 28, 1971 and moved to Pana, Illinois, and began what was to become a family of six boys. All 6 boys have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost. They are all married and have blessed the Cox family with 6 granddaughters and 9 grandsons.

The Cox family arrived in Maine in February of 1989. Brother Cox served as Assistant Pastor for the next several years under the leadership and direction of Pastor John F. Churchill. He then became Associate Pastor from 1996 to May of 2002. In May of 2002 Brother Cox became the Pastor of Pentecostal Lighthouse. Pastor Cox is Presbyter of Section Three of the District of Maine and serves on the Board of the Maine District UPCI

In 2008, with a renewed vision and burden for a church in the greater Ellsworth area, Pastor Cox began plans for construction of what was to become Crossroads Apostolic Church.  The project was completed in 2009 with our first service being held August 30, 2009.

Pastor Cox and his wife, Sis. Gayle Cox are very active in the various ministries of Crossroads Apostolic Church and invite you to visit them at the church. Pastor Cox says, “There is a ministry or department for every need and every age. We assure you that your visit will be fulfilling. You will experience the love of a friendly church and the powerful visitation of the Holy Spirit. We encourage you to join us in worship and allow God to make the difference in your life.”
